We are a community-focused research team dedicated to improving understanding of youth violence in Lansing’s frontline neighborhoods. We strive to deepen our knowledge by engaging the community in our research to learn from those most impacted by youth violence, with a long-term goal of collaboratively developing solutions to reduce violence over time. By working hand-in-hand with local residents and community organizations, we aim to empower Lansing’s youth and create opportunities for transformative change. Our work is driven by collaboration, transparency, and a deep commitment to uplifting the voices of those most impacted.
The term "frontline" refers to communities that disproportionately face significant challenges due to systemic inequities. In Lansing, these neighborhoods experience the most acute impacts of youth violence, often compounded by limited resources and barriers to addressing these issues effectively.
